snow, results, WOO-WOO's and more!

Do you see this...SNOW...SNOW I said...Allie and I were reading in her book this morning during breakfast and we look up and this is what we see....SNOW!!!!
Now I like snow...IN DECEMBER!! I am even okay with it in NOVEMBER but OCTOBER...not okay with it! I know it won't last but the thought of it even being here already is...okay can't think of a word...it's just not okay!!! Allie thought it was pretty cool and Cash keeps saying "ssnoow" I for one think it is ugly!!! Unless it is DECEMBER! Does anyone out there think I may want to think about moving...well I have already thought about that...but J and the kidos say NO!!!! Moving on....Johnny got his results today...the Dr says that the moles they removed are a typical...that is good! No Cancer! So only one more visit to the dermatologist and hopefully we can stay clear of that place for a while...6 months to be exact!
Well Saturday was an end to a very long colt football season....Can I get a " WOO-WOO" this football season was the longest season ever...could it be that my son got the shaft every time I turned around, could it be that I do not like to see him get hit, could it be that his coach was...well I will leave that alone! Whatever it could be I will miss ONE thing about it being over...the company I had at practice! With an end to football is also an end to cheer leading....I actually enjoyed being one of the coaches this year, though I will probably not do it again, I did enjoy it! We had a pretty good set of parents and a great group of girls. I will miss them....I am still glad it is over!
Sparta Youth Baseball and Softball is also over!!!! Can I get another " WOO-WOO" With the lack of help that we have received over the past couple years that I have been President is just ridiculous! And there are 2 other organizations in the Highland community that will do just fine with our Sparta kids! So although I feel like a heavy weight has been lifted it is kinda sad that I will for the rest of forever be known as Katie LaFever the one who dissolved SYBSA....Oh well I have been known as worse!!!! And in all fairness to myself and Brandy we got in this for the kids and we can't do it by ourselves so we will get out for the kids and give them a better opportunity along with some sanity for us!!!! I have talked with some of the other organizations and let them know that if...IF Allie wants to play next year I would still like to coach her....most of them agree that it will be possible!!!
Last I checked it was October...Johnny usually takes a lay off for the winter months...but it is not even Halloween yet and they are already talking lay offs! Please pray for us that he will be able to work just a little longer! Thanksgiving is ok...But Halloween...not ok!!!! I have told him that I will go and get a job with no problem. However in the summer months when the kids are out of school I would be working to pay a sitter and I am not about that! Maybe Wal-mart will hire for the seasonal months?! Well whatever it will be God will help us...he always does!
Not much else is going on we are looking forward to having some rest and relaxation! Oh my I just really don't even know what we will do for the next few months of No practice, No games, No....nothing...Oh I guess maybe we can get the basement done...you know the one we wanted to have done like 2 months ago....I will keep you updated on how that goes!!!

Visit with Dad!

Okay I am a couple days behind....
Happy 1 year Anniversary Jess & Kelly
WE LOVE YOU!!
and we wish you many more years of happiness!
So I told you that my Dad came home for a short weekend visit! We had a great time! The kids were so happy to have him home! And so were we! Sunday my mom made sloppy Joe's, cole slaw AND pumpkin log!!! It was SOOO yummy! And while I was at Church with A and A, Johnny stayed home with Cash and made chili! It was yummy too! Jess, Kelly and Layne were here too! It was nice to spend the day with our family!! Unfortunately we had to let mom take dad back home...it is kind of a joke who gets the most time with him while he is here!

Monday afternoon-evening we went over to Mom and Dad's to visit some more! Again the whole crew! And again we had a great time! Lots of laughter and fun! If my dad living far away has taught me anything it is to take time to enjoy each other as much as you can! And we DO!!! Mom ordered pizza for all she said she wanted to just do something quick so we would all have time to visit...BUT she also made a coffee cake that was Wonderful...no really W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L!!! And a snickers desert that was W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L too!! So after full belly's I wanted to shoot some pics....Kate really do I have to sit up in my chair...ok you had to be there!

These days Cash is not an easy kid to get in pictures!! "dat my balls" ok another you had to be there!!!

Actually it was not easy to get this picture either..."he is my dad...no my dad"!!!!

I love ya Jess....but he was my dad first!!!! LOL!!!

Thanks for coming home dad!!! And ma thanks for sharing!!!!

I think the leaving part was a little easier this time...I said a little and I meant a little...knowing that he will be home in just a month or so to stay for a couple months! Not for my Allie, she is ready to have him home...NOW...okay we all are!!!

this thing is really PI**ING me off tonight... what I was trying to say was that Church was AMAZING this morning our old pastor Rob is back from a 14 mo stay in India. He was over there to do some missionary...so along with hearing him I rocked out along with the entire congregation to my favorite song... why do I have to be so dumb when it comes to computers....sorry I needed to vent and I really wanted you all to know what I was trying to say when it ever so rudely just took off half of my blog.....okay...I feel better now.....

Weekend fun!

We have had a busy weekend! Friday Cruz William came over to play with us...he is so darn cute! And getting so big! Cash liked having him over..."I hold hem" "I yike hem" it was cute to see him with Cruz! Jamin and Brian ( Jess' BFF) have always been really close with my kids and it is nice to know they have been blessed with such a sweetie!Again these pictures are just all over the place...still not sure why and I would take the time to fix them however I have been getting heat that I do not blog enough so...no time for that! Saturday was Austin's last regular season game...and they won!!!! They have just one more game next Sunday...we think...and that is just to see what place we ended up over all...
After the game we went over to the park for trick or treat! Johnny passed out candy while I took the kids around the park trail to get candy! We (Angel, Robert, Troy, Julie, Tim and myself) had 12 kids in tow! They had a good time! In the top left picture (that is totally out of place) L to R is back row: Jensten, Josten, Cole, Austin, Courtney, Maddie middle row Javin, Chloe, Allie bottom Chellsea, Cash and Scott! After trick or treat we HAD to warm up, so we went over to Troy and Julie's for chili and heat! Much needed heat!!! Then just as we were all nice and full and warm...
OFF we go to Dawn and Mark's for their annual Halloween party! The kids again had a wonderful time! They had a haunted forest...they really could have charged admission to get into! It was great! We did not stay late 1. we were cold and 2. the kids were about partied out! This morning was full of excitement for us again! Our old
AMAZING
this morning!!! After talking with our now pastor David this past week and letting him know just how much I LOVE a certain WORTHY IS THE LAMB song....yup he loves me...we sang it!!! Oh how I love our church!!!
So if that was not enough we had a visitor on our couch when we returned from Church.....drum roll please...........
DADDY!!!!
I will post some pics of our visit later! I will tell you we had a fantastic visit with him today and are looking forward to tomorrow afternoon - evening with him again...well ok let me be honest what I am really looking forward to is having him here for the winter...but for now I will take what I can get!!!

Pumpkins~

First I would like to tell you that it is 10:30pm and I have been trying to post since...ummmm 5:00!! The pictures were not just right, only 2 of the pictures uploaded, I deleted on accident...so now it is yup you guessed it...10:30 and the darn pictures are still not laying out the way I want them to...OH WELL!!! So enough complaining...
Johnny had his Dr's appt today to have those moles removed from his back...the poor guy I swear his back looks like a cutting board...well better safe than sorry, right! We should have the results back in a week~I will keep you updated! After the Dr we ran over to Hooters for some lunch~I told Johnny he could pick~I do love the fried pickles there, but would rather have BW3's for wings...Cash really likes Hooters...no really he does! Lots of attention is paid to little ones there...now don't go taking the neighbors kid off to Hooters just to get the ladies to give you some attention...LOL!! Anyways, Johnny and I had talked that we had lots to do this weekend with games, parties, trick or treat at the park and maybe a surprise here and there...(I will fill you in later) that we would just grab some pumpkins while we were out and let the kids carve them this afternoon! He was all over that...why?...he just got out of going to the pumpkin patch that is why! So the kids were really excited when they got home and found we had a plan and it had nothing to do with homework, chores, shopping, you know all the things kids just love to do!!!
Cash found this carving pumpkin thing really cool! He liked to draw all over the pumpkin and the cleaning them out did not bother him at all! At one point Austin was yelling at Johnny and I because Cash had a rather large knife in his hand...don't worry we got it from him with out any accidents! Austin is really creative and loves to draw. So this was fun for him too! And that made me feel good, since he will not be joining us this year (trick or treating) he is going to pass out candy but dressing up and all that was just not on the top of the list for him : ( Allie started off laughing and all smiles until she realized that gutting the pumpkin was not all that fun! The picture of her doing it is very deceiving! She actually was not happy about this at all...she did like drawing and cutting...gutting was up to Daddy...oh and Mommy as you can see I was having a good time with this...oh yes I had out the Halloween music and was jammin' purple people eater, super freak...the cd was not that bad...Johnny and the kids probably thought I was a super freak...oh who am I kidding...they know I am a super freak!!!
Well it is now almost 11 and I am off to MOPS in the morning so I better get....

busy again....

Austin & Courtney
sorry I am just now getting this posted! I kept forgetting to ask her parents if it was ok!
TOO CUTE!!!

Most of you know that in my office we have asked all the people who have helped us get back in our house to put their hand print on our wall...well tonight my ever so sweet prince charming put his own touch on the wall...in orange crayon...he is very proud too, as you can see!!!

Sunday after Church Johnny and the kids played outside ALL day! They washed my van, played a little basketball, football, baseball, and of course the trampoline is always fun! It has been beautiful here and we have been taking advantage of the weather!

We all got a big kick out of the static in Allie's hair!

So not much else has been going on here...same old football every night, hurry home to eat and shower then off to bed! Austin's team did win Saturday night, under the lights their first win of the season! I am hoping to talk Johnny into taking the kids to a pumpkin patch this weekend?!?! Oh he just loves when I get these fun for the whole family (except him) ideas!! To which he usually has fun doing...get over it man you have 3 kids that will only be this age once!!! Oh he will have fun I can just see the look on his face now....I will try and capture that on camera for all of you to see!!!

The rest of this week is full of things I HAVE TO...I mean HAVE TO get done! So I will be busy that is always a good thing! I will try and post more later this week, still have not gotten those shots of the kids and the ever fast changing leaves...I will get on that!

For now it is off to bed!

ATTENTION: CBS

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I have been waiting for 5 1/2 months for Warrick Brown to die? Seriously CBS is messing with me right? Did they not hear me when I said "if he dies I will not...NOT watch the show anymore" They must not have! They just could not have heard me! I think next week he will be back...he has to come back! The show just will not be the same...COME BACK WARRICK!!!!

Friday, October 3, 2008

You would think with the all the stuff we have going on that if we did not have to go to a ballgame...we wouldn't....ummmm yeah well off to the high school football game tonight for homecoming! Austin was really looking forward to going, I guess he is getting to that age where you go! Allie likes to go, but could do with out! And if Auntie and Uncle Kelly are there Cash likes it too...I think he had Mt. Dew, suckers, popcorn...not really sure what else they gave him while I was not looking...So here they are after the game! We are dog sitting for the Garrett's and Miss Marley thought she needed to be in the picture too! After the game that Allie yes Allie not Austin got into a fight with a boy...who was older than her! I guess he called her a name and it pissed her off...pissed her off bad enough that she kicked the crap out of him...Oh yes there sat Johnny and I watching in total disbelief...Johnny walked over to see what was going on and she said "he called me a pixie stick" "Daddy he is being mean to me" I told you all she will not let anyone...A.N.Y.O.N.E mess with her....Oh Highland won tonight too! And they had LOTS and I do mean LOTS of fireworks after the game too! It was really nice!
The kids were glad that it is Friday...we are sleeping in tomorrow! And we have a benefit for a friend of ours tomorrow night and then of course the OSU game! Sunday AJ plays in Mt. Gilead! So another crazy weekend here!
I had been posting about the kids and I wanted to fill you all in on my Dr appt last week. I had a spot on my nose that was just not going away, Johnny and I agreed that I needed to see the dermatologist. The spot went away before my appt but I kept it anyways. The Dr thought it looked suspicious and took a biopsy that day, just one stitch but I had to wear a band aid all week...EEEeeewwww! So off to the Dr again this past Wednesday to remove the stitch and she had results...basal cell carcinoma so on the 10th of Nov. I will have another procedure done. From what I have been told this is if there is a best the best kind of skin cancer to have so I feel very confident that she will take care of it and all will be fine. In the mean time I will take all the prayers I can get! Oh and Johnny goes in on the 16th of Oct to have 2 moles removed! AAAHHHHhhhhh! So he would appreciate the prayers too!
Okay so not much else going on here! The weather changed fast this week! We actually turned our heat on the other night! I have heard it is going to warm up a little bit...Fall is my favorite season so I hope to enjoy it a little before the long winter!
Maybe get some cute pics of the kiddos outside with the changing leaves...OH I really do love fall!!
Happy Weekend!!!

ALLIE MARIE!!

Summer 2008 Highland Colt Football Cheerleader
Allie my daughter...I do not like to say "middle child" people always associate the middle child to trouble...okay she is a little bit of a handful! Allie is everything I want her to be when she is...say 18! She will climb up in your lap and steal your heart away! She will get dirty with the boys...which is good being the sister of 2 brothers. There are those days when she wants to put on a dress and make-up and nails and toes and hair! Those days are happening more now than ever! Johnny looks at her with her looooong "debbie berkeley" legs and shakes his head. She loves to read and is doing VERY well in school!!! Noone...repeat...N.O.O.N.E will walk on this child...she will get her way...she will fight you tooth and nail...she forgets the word "sorry" because she usually is not...she is right and that is that! There have been days here lately that I truly believe that her mouth may join a new zip code...but she slaps on that smile and...my heart melts!!! Allie is the pickiest eater EVER...I am picky but this child tops the cake! She is a wonderful big sister/little sister! Her and the boys are very close! For sure Family is #1 in this little girls life! And I think that Papaw's rate at the top...I heard her tell her friend that she thought mustaches were "disgusting" and she would never want to kiss her dad if he had one..."they are poi-ky"..."Except my Papaw I give him kisses"...is his poi-ky said the little girl..."yeah but (with that sweet little smile)...I LOVE HIM and I DON'T CARE!" That is my girl...my pooh bear...my beautiful princess!!!!
