the flip... today the kids had the day off. I spent a lot of the day getting some things done that I had been wanting to get done before we leave for vacation...13 days : )) I had asked the kids what they wanted for lunch and Austin being the sweet one he is, hey mom how about I make lunch! Right on kid...we have let him make us sandwiches before. They are very good! No cold lunch meat for us when he is cooking! He made chicken breast and ham sandwiches with cheese!

They turned out wonderful and I did not have to make them...or clean up the mess!! Thanks to Austin and Allie! It was a good day! Maybe he will want to cook up breakfast in the morning?!! Nah~he likes to sleep to much!!!

Wordless Wednesday....

So today was eventful! Cash and I went over to Ma's to help wash windows! (really people anyone who knows my Mom knows that I could have skipped a couple and it would have been ok) to me anyways! She is a clean freak! And not just picking up things...oh no she down right cleans....A LOT!!! So if I had skipped a couple, windows that is, she would have noticed!! So I didn't! After we were done Ma, Jess, Cash and I ran into the grocery to grab a few things. ~Ma: oh Kate just let him out of the kart... ~Me: no Ma, really he is just too much in places like this... (out of the kart he goes) we are in the dairy section...picture this...cute little blonde boy with jeans too short (people it is almost time for shorts I am not going to go and buy new jeans just yet) chucking the big 4 cup bags of cheese into this kart...lady to the right laughing...old people glaring at me...me wanting to hide in a corner...Mimi...not paying a lick of attention to the cute little blonde boy with jeans that are too short, you know the one she took out of the kart!! He paid her back for me by placing several packages of M&M's on the belt for her to purchase unknowingly!! Oh the joys of a toddler!!! After we left the store I dropped Ma and Jess off. And homeward bound we were. Safe place for a toddler to be!!! Austin had practice tonight! Seems to be really enjoying it thus far! Hurray for him! And his very competitive mama!! I went to a tastefully simple party at Steph's! I can not wait to get this stuff!!! YUMMY!!!

I was able to catch Dad online today so we chatted for a few! Good for me...Good for him!!!! It is going on 10pm I am getting pretty tired and have a full day tomorrow! Don't forget I am going to try my "wordless Wednesday"!!! Stay tuned!!!!

But, honestly I really don't have much to say... I wanted to get these pictures up...

Or maybe I should just be very grateful that he has a job and is not searching like many others we know...and that his job is something he loves...

...well I am grateful for those things and many other things...still does not make it any easier....

Not so Wordless Wednesday...

I have titled this post "Not so Wordless Wednesday because I have been reading different blog lately and have noticed some of the things that people do on certain days. Mckmamma does "Not me Monday" very cute...may do that one day?! A lot of people do "Wordless Wednesday" also very cute and...wordless! However I am not really a woman of few words, as you already know...so this could be a challenge for me...I am going to give it a try next Wednesday!

For now lots to catch up on...The weather has been OOOHHH SOOOO nice!!! Cash and I have been playing outside as much as we can! Speaking of Cash

And speaking of nice weather...Austin had his first baseball practice for the season last night! We have been looking forward to this for months!!! And now it is here! Practice again tonight!

Allie started her volleyball season last week! She loves it! And I love that she loves it! I do not know a lot about volleyball, but if princess is happy...so is...the rest of the family!!!

Only 23 days til we leave for Disney!! WOO HOO!!! We are so excited! The count down has begun!

Johnny was on the news Monday for work! He is part of the crew that is tearing down History...Town Street bridge in Columbus! I think he is excited about this as he has never been on a bridge crew before!

So that is the scoop! My Dad goes back to Madison this weekend for the season...so Jess and Cash and I are spending the day with him! Speaking of that...gotta go...full day today!!!!

Is it Spring yet? I really think it is getting close!!! The end of last week was great!!! For March in Ohio! I just keep praying that it will continue to stay nice...even if it is chilly! I love having the sun back! Although I was thinking the other day...Spring is so bitter/sweet for me! Don't get me wrong I need the warmer weather, the sun, the kids outside, the windows open, but spring means Dad is back in Madison...not that, that is a bad thing for him...us either really but you know...we want him to be back to work...I guess it is just selfish reasons! So speaking of Dad, and Madison and warmer weather...yes he went back today...he will be back this weekend and since I know you are reading this, Dad...your not off the hook as far as cooking before you go back...back! I can also tell that Spring is almost here because the phone is ringing off the hook, about ball! That is also bitter/sweet...I love baseball/softball season! I love to watch the kids play, I love to coach Allie...but I despise the politics that go with it! Oh well I guess you take the good with the bad and hope the good out~weighs the bad! So I have a coaches meeting tomorrow night...should be fun...I say that with sarcasm...I have coached Allie for 5 years now and what more do they really need to tell me?! I know what girls I have, I know the rules, I know the other coaches...hmmm should be fun!!! Saturday night Johnny and I went to a party for some friends of ours...a going away party! Where are they going? Glad you asked...they built a sail boat ( Emma ) and they are taking off the 17th to...sail! I asked Annie how long they thought they would be gone...a decade! A DECADE people...is that totally cool or what! They are so pumped and I'm guessing you would have to be to up and leave everything here to sail! Johnny and I got to check Emma out and she is very...small...cute but small! I'm thinking there is no way lovie and I could do that! One of us would be shark bait by day, ummm ONE! I overheard a couple talking while at the party, the lady says Annie are you doing this just to get away from all the chaos that is going on with the economy and such? Annie says No but when we get back maybe it will be better!!! Good way to look at it! Speaking of the economy...last week I got a couple more calls from very dear friends of ours that have lost their jobs. It is so sad! I am praying for them and all the tons of other friends and family that are in this same situation. The kids are doing great! I will post pictures later this week! Johnny is going strong back at work~We only have about one month until we leave for Disney~Yeah! We are all looking forward to that! Off to read...yup...the love dare!! I am on day 5! I know I started it like 9 days ago! That first chapter took me 3 days to get right! But I did it!

Well he did it!!! He really did it!!!

And Johnny and I are still sitting here Sunday morning so very proud of him!!

All of these kids did such a great job!! But our Austin, rocked the house...the school house that is! He made it through the entire play with just a few pauses! The turn out was amazing! Over 300 people came out to watch! And Austin had a HUGE cheering section!! Thanks to all of you who took the time to come out and see the play and our "lead man" It means a lot to him!

In other news Johnny's uncle Jim passed away Thursday morning. Thanks to all of you who were praying for him and the family. Obviously we were able to keep Austin from getting sick! Allie and Cash are still trying to get over it and now I have it! Well better me than our star of the show or his back to work tomorrow Daddy! The weather here is still cold and I am praying really hard that the sun will just continue to shine! Okay really I am praying hard for spring but the sun shining is better than nothing!!!
